My rowing come-back effort has been chugging along quite well. I have slowly increased the distance rowed per day while staying free of major injury. I’ll weigh myself on Monday (July 23, 2012) to see how much weight I’ve lost so far, if any, since beginning my weight management programme about 10 days ago.
As I expect to have some extra recreational time in November, I have decided to row my third marathon before the end of that month. Below is a shot of my Concept2 PM3 rowing monitor after I completed my second marathon in July 2011.
Therefore, my weight management/rowing come-back programme has incorporated one more function: marathon training. Killing three birds with one stone.
